Bobby Wilson son of the late hit recording artist Jackie Wilson and born in New York was brought up in the foster care system in Carolina named Bobby Brookes.
Shortly after leaving the navy he discovered his real identity, that he was the son of legendary Jackie Wilson.
Bobby completed two years of study at the Midlands Technical College in Columbia followed by a semester at The University of Carolina in electrical engineering and then went on to serve in the United States Navy.
Subsequently Bobby Wilson followed in his father’s footsteps and made a career in music scoring a major success in the production of Serendipity at the Orleans Casino he was also successful headlining on cruise ships.
His hit single “I Can’t Love You Anymore” charted in the United States and subsequent single “I Get The Sweetest Feeling” also charted.
“I Get The Sweetest Feeling” will be released in the United Kingdom on Plateau Music.
