“I’ll Be Up” is the newest single from Max M, featuring Chris Willis.
“I’ll Be Up” is the latest single from Max M, the multinational DJ and producer currently living and working in France. Featuring guest vocals from Chris Willis, “I’ll Be Up” is an upbeat synth-wave odyssey, layering emotional lyricism over driving beats and sparkling electro flourishes.
“I’ll Be Up” boasts the same infectious punch as Max M’s earlier work, combining the soaring heights of the anthemic “Never Wanna Leave” with the sizzling immersive atmosphere of “Under Water”. Max M’s latest single begins by letting the piano take centre stage, before building to a cooly understated pre-chorus with old-school groves but stylishly modern vocals. From there, the single forges a unique path between irresistible rhythms and earnest vulnerability, backed up by sugary synths that prime “I’ll Be Up” to be the summer of 2021’s hottest club track.
I’ll Be Up builds off of the theme of a broken romance and nobody is getting any rest until things are resolved. The lyrics seem somewhat introspective. Max M’s production is the cinematic recipe that gives these thoughts form by means of a varied drum pattern, moving bassline, fluctuating synth and electronic sounds. I’ll Be Up is a winning collaborative effort, good for the rhythmic gusto and lovers of an inventive gnosis.
Max M’s tracks Never Wanna Leave and Under Water ranked first and fifth on the American DJ site – Digital DJ Pool. As a man of many talents, including a professional career in computer science, Max M reentered the world of music at the age of 40 after establishing a career in technology.
