After years of focusing her passion on helping others, Mpume Simelane has answered her deeper creative calling. Born in Kwazulu Natal, and a practising doctor, Mpume releases her debut single – the uplifiting Afro Pop, Gospel inspired song ‘Themba’.
She calls it ‘Good News Music’ and explains that through her music she wants to reach out to people and show them that we can turn the negative into positive and change our paths with it. Currently a practicing OB Gynae, Mpume Simelane explains the pull towards music.
“In the medical sphere I work with women as an OB-Gynae and with this I get the privilege to meet, reach and serve thousands of women. I am always amazed how much God can do through his vehicle especially when I let go and let Him guide me. I feel with my music I can reach out even further and spread a message of hope, love and positivity.
‘Themba‘ is a mixture of Afro Pop and Gospel and is the first single from Mpume Simelane, who is currently working on her debut album.
